My PC: Windows 10 64bit, Asus Rog Strix B-350f Gaming Motherboard, Ryzen 5 1600X, MSI GTX 1080 X GamingSorry if this has been posted before. Just helping those who just got the game on Summer sale with a more updated post.I got JC3 on the Steam Summer Sale and immediately jumped into the game.
Played for a little and then got off. Same night i try to hop back on and couldn't get past the loading screen after the video of Rico on the beach.I verify game files, reinstall the game, restarted steam and my PC, but nothing worked. So i got to thinking.I remembered about an audio issue i had on Wolfenstien where it went to default on the wrong audio output on my PC. It chose 'Realtek Digital Output' rather than 'Speakers'.
With this in mind i go into the speaker on the task-bar and switch my audio from 'Speaker' to 'Realtek Digital Output', boot the game back up and.TAADAAA. the game boots up perfectly past the loading screen.I tried to switch back to 'Speaker' after the game starts but i get no audio.
So i found a work around that i thought worked (involed just disabling 'Realtek Digital Output' in the Sound settings) but as i was typing this i went to test it out to be sure it would work and NOPE. Stuck on the loading screen again. So after another two hours of messing around with the audio again i found only one solution that worked:Uninstalling 'Realtek Audio' and 'Sonic Audio something' from my PC.After Uninstalling them both i have been able to hop in and out of the game with no issues. Don't understand why this worked but it just did.
If you don't care much about 'Realtek' like me then you can live with this fix.Hopefully this helps one of you in need. Happy Parachuting!.
