Submitted on 12/4/2018 Review title of PiotrYour standard Windows Store experienceWhere do I even start?

I'm still having sordid feelings for buying a product off the Windows Store, and I've only done it because my friend wanted to play this game with me badly. Basically, a standard Windows Store game.No modding. Framerate fluctuates from 35 to 180 on my GTX 1070. I've had tons of troubles to log into Xbox Live (had to reinstall 2 Apps and enable 4 Services just to log in, not to mention all the troubleshooting to get it done in the first place), and then connect to my friend through one squad for more than 10 seconds.

Only some 10th or so time has it worked and allowed us to finally start the campaign. The sensitivity bar doesn't go low enough for 3500 DPI.

I will keep adding my griefs as we continue playing. Submitted on 1/13/2018 Review title of ChrisPlease put this on Steam and Give me a Steam KeyThis store and game are a dumpster fire. I've downloaded it completely only for it to not launch and now I'm told to redownload a 70gb+ download. I have so many questions 1) Why won't it launch as intended? 2) Where is the game data? (solved after research) 3) Why don't I have access to the game files? 4) How do I see my library of games I've bought through the Windows store?

(solved after research) 5) Why is there no option to delete the game from the library? I have to uninstall is from the windows menu, that's. Obtuse. My experience with this store has been nothing short of abysmal. I won't buy future games here regardless of how much I want to play them.

I don't have the time to troubleshoot each purchase. That's too expensive in my world. Submitted on 5/27/2017 Review title of BenjaminA Classic Game; An Odd PortIf you've played the original Gears of War on the Xbox 360, all you're getting is enhanced graphics (which, by the way, are rather nice). If you've already gotten the Ultimate Edition on Xbox One but you want it on your computer, you'll be welcomed with a great experience to play at 4K, given your rig can handle it. The gameplay itself is still pretty good but the single-player campaign is, in a way, showing its age.

The multiplayer is, for a lack of better words, dead due to a small user base (also, it's PC users only). So, if you've come here for the multiplayer, go elsewhere. The game supports both mouse and keyboard and Xbox One/Xbox 360 controller; both ways to play feel good to use. The biggest problem, though, is that, considering this is one of the first major Universal Windows Platform games to be released, it has MAJOR optimization issues. I have a decent computer (i7 4790, GTX 1070) and I have troubles maintaining a stable 60FPS at 1920x1080 on low settings, so there's that. Submitted on 1/7/2019 Review title of NicolasMajor Performance Issues in its current state.I bought the game back when it was new and got really good overall performance at 1440p with my 980Ti.

Fast-forward a few years later with my 1080Ti and the performance is worse than what I got back when I had the 980Ti due to a low GPU utilization bug. Something broke the performance of the game recently. I've tried a multitude of things to fix the issue and troubleshoot it.

Gears Of War Sound Scheme For Windows

I've also reached out to Nvidia to get help or submit a driver bug report but they think it's a game issue. Searching the internet found other people with the same issue but no solution. I've done my part in trying to fix the issue or get more info on it but to no avail. Even though I love the Gears series and still enjoy the first one I can't recommend the Windows 10 version due to the performance issues it currently has. How to use geck. It's unlikely they'll ever get fixed so avoid this version of the game at all costs. Submitted on Review title of NathanialFun single player game multiplayer dead thoughPlayed this game a bit later because I heard it was unoptimized at launch. Fortunately it seems to have pretty good performance now, the only thing I noticed that's very demanding is shadows.

This is actually the first time I had ever played GoW so I wasn't sure what to expect. Single player was linear but pretty fun. There was some exploration to be had with the dogtags and such but I wish it was a bit more open like Unreal, one of my favorite shooters also by Epic. Still the gunplay and cover system were solid, and the story was interesting enough. Unfortunately I cannot rate the multi since no one was playing when I tried. Submitted on Review title of RashaadReminisce 10 Years BackIf anyone out there agreed with me, this game is off the CHAIN!!

It was like Reminisce the time 10 years ago when I first play this. Now, With DX12, it still got it. Here are my PC specs: Gigabyte Motherboard, AMD FX 8-Core Processor, an R9 380 Graphics Card, and more. This game will ALWAYS be a moment to remember. Always have been, always will be.:-) Except for waiting for the game to be finished downloading and installing if anyone agrees with me. Plus, I would find out if my new HP Envy x360 m6 Convertible laptop would work or not.
