How Come Examview Will Not Download

A while back I posted the following message'HelloSome of our students have discovered that if they disconnect on purpose from the network they get a zero on a Lan test. They then claim that the wireless network dropped the connection and they should be given the test over again. Is there any way around this problem by gettting a partial score posted for the test rather than a zero. Can you still in version 5 give a test from a floppy disk and then import there responses into ExamView Test Manager. 'Since this message I found a feature in ExamView 5 that will allow the students to take thier tests using multiple sessions. If the students save their tests using multiple sessions without finishing the test by using the save feature that allows you to come back to it later can the teacher get a partial score.
I have been searching through the forums to find help on the ExamView import option for quiz questions but have not found anyone who has been consistently successful in doing this. Also, I am working with ExamView version 5.0 and have not been able to import ANY questions. I also tried going back to my ExamView version 4.0.8 and was not able to import from any exported Examview 4 files (, blackboard 6+, etc).Is there anyone who is getting consistent imports who could help try to make this work with Examview 4 or 5?
Oooh I've tried so many combinations of that, but all have failedEnvironment: Moodle 1.6.1 on Fedora 5 server, php 5I've tried importing the.dat file as well as uploading the.zip file and unzipping on the server too, then importing from there. The closest I've come is importing the.zip file into our old Blackboard 5 site, re-exporting it from Blackboard to a new.zip file, THEN importing the.dat file. It imported the same question 102 times. Sigh.I finally had the XML file figured out. And now there's no way to get them to our Moodle server. Now I'm looking for converters from one format to another. Perhaps some kind soul has a converter. I even checked the fscreations.com site for help. They have an additional export utility to Angel7.
The ExamView XML export option is only available in the Professional Edition of ExamView (that is, the retail version that you can upgrade to vs. The free version from your publisher). However, Moodle's ExamView import feature didn't support v.5 XML anyway. This limited availability of the ExamView XML export makes me less likely to use this format as the basis for Moodle integration. The import should 'work' using either of Bb5or Bb6+ formats. Kotor 2 goto yacht power. Except for the images, of course. It would make my life a lot easier if Moodle would unzip and bring over all the archived contents! What errors were you getting when uploading the res0000.dat file?
